Recruiting
Recruiting
Members are generally brought into the guild on recommendation of an existing member. If you don't know an existing member but like the concept of a guild devoted to random acts of kindness, /tell Elsheindra or Swiftsong.
Any current member in good standing can sponsor a new member. Ask a guild officer to bring the initiate in. As the initiate's sponsor, you will be responsible for the initiate. Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the initiate reads the rules at wowkindness.com
- Warning and disciplining bad behavior.
- Helping him or her with questions about the guild.
- Introducing him or her to guild members.
- You should try to adventure together at least a few times with the initiate to ensure he or she understand how to work with a group and the group leader and plays in a team spirit.
- Ask the initiate to report acts of kindness to you and ensure the initiate understands this is a part of the guild.
- Generally help him or her fit in.
At the end of two weeks, the initiate will be evaluated. All guild members can anonymously vote at wowkindness.com at anytime during the two weeks on whether the initiate should become a member, leave the guild or be evaluated for a further week.
Evaluation is not a question of simply whether the initiate follows the rules. It can be completely subjective. It is an evaluation from each member on how well the initiate feels like he belongs in the guild. This is our spare time. We are evaluating whether the new member makes our spare time more or less enjoyable.
The spirit a person shows is more important than experience. Inexperienced players with a good attitude are welcome. Social, helpful and giving players will find the best home here.
While a player's attitude is the chief concern, following is a secondary list of preferred classes based on broadening the current makeup of the guild.
Classes wanted in order of priority
Priest
Paladin
Warrior
Warlock
Mage
Rogue
Druid
