I logged on at around 18:45 server time to find that the server was being shut down in around 13 minutes.

Apparently something to do with the server being a mess.

Just though that people might like to know.

  how people choose to spend their last minutes is of course.. their own business... erm.. im not up there.. really

even when the servers DO come back up... the login server is gonna be so overwhelmed

I did manage to get to the realmlist once, where I could see the servers coming online one after another. Alas I made the mistake of trying to log on to one of them and got dc'ed. Now I can't even get to the Authenticating step, heh.

Seconds after writing this the world server went down... Short visit, heh.

Seems like this is going to be a frustrating evening.
