Hi everyone.

Just wanted to let those of you who don't already know I'll be away for a while until Blizzard attends to my request for service regarding serious lag issues that prevent me from having even a remotely enjoyable gaming experience.

I assure you I am doing my best to cut short my time away and have the matter settled straight away. If you're wondering what it's all about feel free to visit http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-tech-support-en&t=286975&p=1 for the thread on the official technical support forums regarding this unpleasant situation.

I wish you all good hunting and the best of luck for now and I hope to play with you again soon.

Love,
Sera

Hi guys

Regret to inform you I've canceled my WoW recurring subscription and my current one will run out in April 22nd. I won't be on for very long at a time until such time this issue is resolved or ever if it isn't.

I'll keep an eye on the forums though so feel free to contact me via here. Hopefully Blizzard will get around to actually providing me and dozens of other users appropriate (or any kind of) technical support.

/sigh

are you still having issues?
my latency appears to have sorted itself out today, after a week of 400/500+ ms

today is back in the green and has stayed in the green all day

That sucks, Sera. I wouldn't hold your breath, though. As I said, our response from customer service hasn't been that great here.

On the plus side, it's more time I can spend with Tarandor! (-:

the only possible way to spend more time with me would be to adopt me or something i fear.

SERA. ARE YOU BACK YET?!

In a similar vein, it's not just Blizzard who provides poor support in Europe. As a Canadian who deals with North American companies and European companies for various kinds of customer support, I think I can pretty confidently say that customer support in at least parts of Europe is absolutely terrible. Even if you're dealing with the same company in both countries, like Sony, there's a huge difference between the service in North America and Europe. And, don't get me started on telephone companies. While Telus (BC/Alberta) may not have the best reputation, at least they're usually friendly and their agents don't tend to hang up on you or deny the existence of products like, say, broadband. Bah!

That's very troubling to hear Elsh.

Israel suffers a somewhat ambivalent attitude toward Customer Service as well, but this is balanced by the lack of patience and tolerance by the populace to the effect of people getting their service through less than congenial means. (mainly involves a lot of shouting and demanding things, usually with more than good results)

I suppose it's a cultural difference but it troubles me to hear that Customer Service in europe is just accepted for the inept and laughable thing it is. Oh well... /sigh

Smallish update to whom it may concern:

If you haven't noticed me about prepare to, I have come back to play (with a yellow latency bar) and I hope I'm back for good. Blizzard's still looking into my case but at least the situation's somewhat improved.

Thanks to all who cared and shared it, and thanks to those who cared and didn't.

Love,
Sera
