The Planning

General

We have a long weekend coming up and that's a good opportunity to plan a number of multi-level instance runs and raids. At the last guild meeting, I promised that I'd start a thread to explore some ideas about what we'd like to do.

Suggestions

To begin with, I'd like some suggestions about runs you'd like to make. Include the name of the instance, the number of people required, and a rough guess as to suitable levels.

You might find it helpful to consult our list of dungeons by level and our general list of dungeon info pages which covers all instances and their associated quests up to Blackrock Depths.

Timeline

Monday/Tuesday:

  • Post event suggestions
  • Volunteer to lead an event

Wednesday:

  • Availability info should be all in.
  • Start voting on specific events
  • Volunteer to lead an event

Thursday:

  • Finish voting by 21:00 Game Time
  • Top x events will be created in GEM for sign-up

Your Availability

Tell Us:

  1. Days available (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
  2. Time slots on each day available:

  3. Character class/level range available

About You:

Please post some information about your availability.
As this information comes in, it will be summarized into a chart. Pick the time slot that's closest to your preferred time to play on any given day.

Lower Blackrock Spire

  • Mission: Collect Upper Black Rock Spire key parts.
  • Levels: 58+
  • Group Limit: 10-man

I have 2/3rds of the gems needed to make the UBRS key.
It gives others an opportunity to start collecting key pieces.

Hi all,

If any one wants to hold my hand again as I get all the loot, ahem... sorry about that , I will be around this Thursday night and also Friday morning - prob will be about over the rest of the weekend but not sure yet...

...I will try and squeeze as much time in as I can, just to avoid doing DIY more than anything

Willing to go anywhere for a bit of a laugh and some HUNTAH POWAR!!!!... as long as there are no nasty, nasty, evil ponies around

Trips...

im going to hazard a guess at free for most of it. BUT, early slots i will NEVER make due to my commitment to late night slots. and dancing when no-ones around, tee hee!

can i get a w00t?!

Dire Maul would be nice.

I'd also like to start grinding for the key to UBRS. since i go there a hell of a lot and always need a keyholder.

Seranda's Availability:

I will most likely also be available at most time slots. The UBRS key drops in LBRS sounds like a very nice plan as we could do well with a guildmate who has the key or a few. Also sounds like good fun.

My latency issues have undergone some improvement and so I should be able to run an instance without hampering the team's chances for success. 10-man raid will just mean my remaining disadvantage would be even less noticable.

Either way I'm always up for any end-game instance. Scholo, Strath (both sides), Dire Maul, BRD and both BRS's. I'm game for whatever.

Suggestion for a guild event:

Some of us have the 'Order Must Be Restored' quest, which is an 'outdoor' raid quest which involves killing a Hero of the Horde faction in the EPL. Perhaps we could have fun doing that and help out those of us who have the quest.

Another 'outdoor' raid quest in the EPL is the Battle of Darrowshire which I think we would all enjoy doing. This epic reenactment of a battle from long ago in the history of Azeroth will have us fighting alongside the distraught ghosts of the citizens of the dead town of Darrowshire and assisting them in taking down their crazed leader, Redpath, when he turns on them.

Hope to see you all around for some of these fun events!

"Order must be restored" and "battle of Darrowshire" are 20-man+ raids. Last time I did them we were 30+ people. Although they are stupidly easy with that many.

Trips, can I get my dice back please? I'm gonna need them soon.

My long weekend comes one week later : orthodox church

But I am generally available evenings / nights as usual.

Will be glad if we can make a ST run for my Priest class quest( with Padre, if I manage to lvl him to 50). I think other classes get the same quest (kill the same mob) at lvl 50 too, so we can maybe get a group with most members needing the same thing. ( Padre, Beerje, Shekin : I think that none of us has hsi class quest done in ST, and that is already 3 out of 5 , if you care doing this ofcourse)

Sonar is available for anything (exept Gnomeregan- I hate that place), and will support any groups that needs a hunter.

I think I did good as a raid leader in LBRS last time, so no problem for me to lead a group in there again. Only one thing to add here is, that I would like to make complete runs with all bosses down, so we can get some new gear, and hopefully Class Set pieces, not only farm key parts(tho I have no idea if farming key parts is possible without actually killing bosses)

PS: Elsh, sorry for not using the pattern you requested. Have to make this post quick and get back to work.

I'll be unavailable for the Friday or the Saturday.
Sunday I can do the following:
Maybe pushing a little earlier... but definitly:
Slot3 Evening (18:00 to 24:00)
Slot4 Waaaaayyy Late (00:00 - 08:00)
And Monday i can probably do anytime.

Had an idea to suggest BRD, but I'm definitly interested in the "Order must be restored" and "battle of Darrowshire" raid quests. It's not oftern that we could get together and do those.

Also had the idea of a Hide & Seek event or even a Nekkid Gnome Race Redux... as those would be suited to all levels.

I'm surprised. So far we haven't had much in the way of "low-level" adventures suggested except for Gnomeregan. Nobody needs to go Uldaman, Maraudon, Razorfen Kraul, Razorfen Downs, Blackfathom Deeps, etc?

The One and Only The One Guild Insult Wildgrave event.

If you can insult Wildgrave and not be beaten into submission by his acid-tongue replies then a special easter prize awaits.

Although you might not want a special easter prize from that little gnome - they have been known to take limbs off in the past.

Well, anyway, Wildgrave may make a special appearance over Easter so look out for him will you. He is ever so sensitive and nice.

OH MY GOD, that sounds brilliant... tell us more Valetta.

Reply To This

Well sadly I can't. Much like the rest of Wildgrave's life this is a little hazy, a little lazy, a little... well, he's just crazy.

Reply To This

COME ON WOMAN, what gives? Is he really turning up? I mean I love the little guy. The last time I saw him he said he had my Mum tied up in his cellar... he cracks me up.

More info required. Is this a real event or are you just bored at work?

Reply To This

Like I said, I am not 100% sure what is going on. I mean come on, you've met the crazy little fella right?

Well, I say met... most people who actually meet him end up with a nasty case of metal poisoning if you get my drift. Well, metal and rust poisoning given the state of that dagger but hey, he's too busy stabbing to take care of his weapon.

Yay! It's Wildgrave, the master gnome of snide remarks! He's sooo cute and cuddly, at least when he's sleeping and unarmed - tho be careful, he might have his trademark knife under the pillow, all poised to stab-stab-stab!

Oh, almighty Diceman, will it be sunny weather tomorrow?

I appreciate these inclusive time slots... (WAAYYY Late, sounds like my preferred nook all right), HOWEVER...

Sadly, I will be a good 6 hours away in another province (Saskatchewan) to stay with the in-laws over Easter from Friday to Monday, so I will be unwired and unavailable. Thanks for thinking of me though.

There's a chance I might be on and available for the last WAYYY Late slot on Monday, but I can't commit to anything, so I'll just have to show up and see.

Hope you all have a very merry Easter and that eggs you find this weekend contains some "l33t" loot.

On the long shot some of you may read this in time and fancy to join up:

I've set up a Molten Core raid due today at 8pm server time. That's April 15th, 20:00 server time.
Not sure this thing will take off but it would be nice to see lots of guildies in there with me if it does.

You have to be level 60 to join this event, and you should do the Attunement to the Core quest, although we can probably help you get that done if you show up early since it's not very hard to do.

Lovely Easter everyone!
