Summary

Honourbound Alliance leaders meeting was held on August 13th. Shekin represented The One as the meeting was at 08:00 my time and too early.

Meeting Notes

  • Expectations of the Alliance: To give casual players of smaller guilds the chance to visit large instances.
  • Big Instances: Practice makes perfect. (As in, we don't expect things to go well right off the bat and neither should you).
  • New Guilds Wanting To Join: Phoenix Legion (6 or 7 Level 60s), Illidan's Redemption (to start off with maybe 5 participants), and Coops of Infernal Ashes.
<Edit by Shekin: Coops of the guild Infernal Ashes has apparently asked for a merger between themselves and Roses, which was turned down. He has since asked to be considered to join the alliance.>
    • Probably Illidan's Redemption and Phoenix Legion will be merged into Honourbound events but not the latter.
    • Now's your chance to offer up some commentary (positive or negative) about new guilds wanting to join.
  • Participation by Non-Alliance Members: Honourbound raids are for members of guilds in the Alliance. Sometimes we accept non-Alliance members (we'll often take alts, for example) but that's up to the discretion of the raid leader. People who have been kicked out of their guilds will likely be banned from Honourbound events by raid leaders.

Current Alliance Guilds and Their Representatives

Each partipating guild should have one senior representative and two junior representatives who can attend meetings and who will help organized Honourbound events. Here's a list I've constructed based on the last two meetings.

  • Roses of Dawn (Basil/Wandjina)
  • The One (Elsheindra, Shekin, and Sonarakbadak)
  • Spirits of the Wolf (Stribet and Drip)

BTW, the Thursday evening raids have been going very well lately. We've been concentrating on Zul'Gurub on Thursdays. Last week Basil led on a 5-boss ZG adventure and the sign-up lists have been full lately. Excellent work, people. Keep it up!

We're also looking at days to run Molten Core in addition to Thursday's ZG run. To that end, we're running another raiding days/times poll. Make your voice count: vote now!

Yup, I have been enjoying ZG runs a great deal - the more of those the merrier.

I like that thb has been discussing adding other guilds - that should make us able to do MC "properly" which will be fun too.

As to the poll about what we are attuned to, I have no idea how to get attuned/keys for Onyxia/BWL/Naxx but am happy to put a few runs together if we have a specific one we should be concentrating on.

What do you reckon Elsh?

Molten Core: Take the quest from the Blood Elf standing at the MC Crystal. You'll meet him when you're on your way to BRD. Impossible to miss.

BWL: Kill the Quartermaster at the end of the walkway of the so-called UBRS balcony. He should be standing near an Orb. He'll drop a letter, read it, take the quest, kill Drakkisath in UBRS, done.

Naxx: No need to become Attuned for this. Honourbound has no business being in Naxxramas. The 2 main guilds of the server, Caelum and Soldiers of Light are stocking up an enormous repairbill while wiping there. It is by far the most hard instance in the game and requires Tier 2 or better equipment to take on seriously. We would just wipe on the first trash mob.

Getting attuned to BWL is rather easy, you can prob do that on your next UBRS run. You can find the details here:

http://www.wowwiki.com/Blackwing_Lair

Getting the Drakefire Amulet / attuned to Onyxia is not as easy, you have to go through a long quest chain, which is explained here:
http://www.wowwiki.com/Drakefire_Amulet

Getting Attuned to Naxx is not that interesting at the moment. You will get attuned by the Argent Dawn, but it is quite expensive when you're not exalted (in which case it is free). Anyway, Naxx is prob too far in the distance at the moment anyway 'cause one wouldn't stand a chance in Naxx without having cleared BWL to get decent equipment for it (uh oh, I might get flamed and called a n00b for that statement by all the 1337 über players which of course could do Naxx with some green and blue equipment ). Details can be found here:
http://www.wowwiki.com/Naxxramas

So I'd guess the normal progression mode MC first, then BWL/Ony, and then Naxx would be good (AQ40 is also an option of course). There is a guide on how to solo attunement to MC on the net as well for all those who have to do it:
http://www.wowwiki.com/Quest:Attunement_to_the_Core

Hope this helps,

Felicitas

Hehe,

Yzirum and me prob posted at the same time, but we're basically saying the same thing, funny, isn't it?

All the best,

Fel

Alas,

he said that attunement to BWL is done when you killed Drakk. But it's not killing Drakk but touching a brand which is found behind Drakk (only to prevent confusion).

I know it's the Orb. I just forgot to mention that and had trouble finding an Edit button for my post. I've seen BWL inside and out though, so, I'm familiar with it... No, not on Yzirum. Yzirum isn't attuned. Integra is...
