According to the WoW-Europe forums, we're going to have an extended downtime on August 30th to update the server hardware for Thunderhorn. I assume this is the long-promised hardware update from earlier this year and I hope it alleviates the spiky lags and other issues we experience from time to time on Thunderhorn.
On the negative side, the downtime means no WoW possibly for you. It's not just Thunderhorn getting upgraded. There must be about 30 realms listed in Group 2. Ladies and gentlemen, start your Guild Wars. (-:
Well I hope that they do actually update the hardware for the server, they did promise it a long time ago.
Though I'll not start any silliness by starting to play Guild Wars.
However I might carry on with Knights of the Old Republic 2...
mmmm KOTOR2
havent played that in a while.
not that im gonna get the chance to today. off to work now so all systems "should" be go by the time i get home.
Optimistic, aren't you? :-P
But Shinytoaster was given a copy of Guild Wars: Factions for his birthday. It apparently doesn't have any regionalized servers, so you could play easily with him.
Well, I can't say I'm impressed with our "upgrade." It doesn't seem much better than before, in fact!
