General
This is the current draft copy of the Honourbound's latest attempt at codifying looting rules for THB raids and group runs. Please comment on areas you think are fair/unfair or need tweaking. I will take this feedback, if it's reasonable, back to the THB representatives for consideration when formulating the final version.

Thanks for the post, it's a good opportunity to improve issues in THB raids. I would like to comment on:
"Part 2- Set completion
This is still partly under debate and may not become part of the rules.
If an item will complete a set that somebody already owns (be it a 2-part set or a n 8-part set) then that person has priority. If multiple people need it for completion, rolling applies."
As a general rule, I can't see why we should implement it. I rather want items to go to those people that profit most from it / win it for a roll according to the other rules etc., than to someone just for the sake of having a complete set. Complete sets are not necessarily better than what people allready are using.
There is one case in which this would make sense - when someone would benefit more from the item + set bonus for completing the set than others. This case, however, is allready covered in the rule that loot should go, where possible, to those members that profit most from it.
.
Other than that, it is of course "cool" to have a complete set - but being "cool" is not allways what helps the raid most
All the best,
Felicitas/Zam/Franziska
Hello Zam,
good to see life in this thread
Just to clear things up a bit -
The bonus for set completion is normally a substantial one and will usually outweigh other upgrades anyway. By adding this rule it does accelerate some loot distribution as you get rid of the delay while people work out who has what etc.
Agreed it is not always an improvement over the individual parts somebody owns, but it almost always has a big use for a fairly common situation. Where it is not an improvement at all... the person who would be completing their set does not have to roll, and I would hope their judgement is sound enough to think in that way. Idealism I know, it won't always happen I know, but if people can get used to thinking then it will always improves the situation.
In addition, the person who has picked up all the other parts of the set has shown some degree of commitment to the raid and so we can be fairly certain that they aren't just going to grab loot an run.
Finally - please note that the rules as shown above are currently All of the rules. There is no "most benefit" rule anymore. This is because different people used different criteria to judge "most benefit" and it was causing a lot of disatisfaction and a real reduction in raid attendance.
There is no real bonus for raid attendance and being a steady member, as has been pointed out on the roses forum all it needs is 4 casual players of one class to attend spread over a month and it is quite possible for none of the regulars of that class to get something.
Since one of the fundamental principles of the alliance is to encourage people to raid who don't otherwise, we don't want to discourage people from attending. We also don't want the administrative overhead of a DKP system.
One thing we haven't discussed here is the distribution and collection of raid dungeon-specific items, like Bloodvine, Core Leather, etc. At present, we collect and distribute to participating guilds the following items:
It's been suggested that we perhaps ought to be handling some other items in the same way, such as:
I'm not so sure about the Dark Iron Ore as it's actually available in other places. However, it's required for Thorium Brotherhood reputation in large quantities and these quantities are difficult to obtain, especially if you're not a miner, even if you are going to Molten Core. Any opinions on that?
I think there are some issues here surrounding the treatment of hybrid classes, like druids, paladins, and shamans. I'll be back to post some more on that later. This is just a placeholder to remind you to consider that and to post your thoughts about the looting rules in general!
