Illidans Redemption & Athena Airways Leave THB

Seeing people go is always difficult, but even more so when it's entire guilds and the leaving is done with rancor on one or more sides. It's therefore with regret that I announce the departure of the guilds Illidans Redemption and Athena Airways after the last THB represenatives' meeting on August 19th.

As the Honourbound Alliance is an alliance of guilds, those guilds and their members have left the shared Honourbound channel, but they will still be around on the server.

While there may have been issues between some of the leaders, remember that this is just a game, and don't let that hold you back from remaining friends or doing things with members of those guilds. There's no point (or fun!) in holding grudges.

May the goddess watch over all of us as we continue our journeys in Azeroth and the Outlands, hopefully in the spirit of friendship, fun, and peace.

On Thursday, August 30th, Team Pink had a great run in Karazhan, taking down Attumen/Midnight, Moroes, Maiden, and doing the Romeo/Juliet opera event all on the first go. It was a fantastic evening and the best progress that's been made since early summer. The team was hoping to continue their lucky streak last night by going face-to-face with the Curator. Alas, after 5 attempts, they were unable to take down the Curator, reducing him on their best attempt to 23%. However, it is looking promising.

Congratulations to the hardy souls who participated in the last few runs. They were:

Twolf Steps Down as Phoenix Legion Leader

Twolf announced yesterday on the Honourbound Alliance channel that he will be stepping down as guild leader of Phoenix Legion because of anticipated lack of time in the upcoming months. Phoenix Legion will instead be headed up by Paddington.

THB Downs Curator & Plays Chess

Team Pink follows success upon success! After last Thursday's excellent run downing Midnight/Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, and Opera Event in about three hours, they followed it up by finally downing Curator last night. The jubiliant team was composed of:

• Ischtap (Main healer, Roses of Dawn)

• Jnamber (Ranged DPS, Roses of Dawn)
• Rulle (Ranged DPS, Spirits of the Wolf)

Although I didn't count, upon reflection, it seems like the group made four or five attempts before bringing the big guy down. At that point, it was early enough to keep going and they decided to forge on to the chess event. Unfortunately, the server decided to go wonky at that point (luckily it was then and not during Curator) and several people were disconnected for about 30 minutes.

They did eventually make it to the Chess Event and successfully played chess against the bad guys on their first effort ever. The happy but tired group disbanded and went on their separate ways about 01:30 (Game Time).

This is probably a question best answered by Whiro. Enquiring minds want to know why commercial airlines, when flying at night, turn off the cabin lights for landing and take-off. Basil and I came up with numerous theories, each more ridiculous than the last. What is the real answer?

PS: Other whacky ideas also welcomed from the rest of you! Who can come up with the craziest reason?

I've created a page with recent information about the problems and possible plans for Karazhan raiding in the Honourbound Alliance. It was another successful and, dare I say, profitable run for Team Pink on Thursday, September 27th. In addition to downing Curator and playing Chess again the previous Tuesday, Thursday's group, minus their normal leader of Katsui (Shadow Priest) was able to down Moroes without a priest. There may have been a touch of luck there in our Moroes adds, but still, we were darn chuffed with ourselves. All in all, it was a very smooth run, with the group making it all the way to Maiden and out the back door with very few appreciable losses. Nice work!

A special mention should go out to Algoran (DPS feral druid) who was covering for Katsui both Tuesday and Thursday. He did a great job leading the other members of Team Pink:

It was a good night for loot for some people too. Jnamber (Hunter, Roses of Dawn) took home two pieces, including an epic gun; and Terhen (Shaman, The One), who swapped with Trovlard on Maiden, got two healy-dealy epics. Congratulations to them!

One more thing: It was wipe-free. Yes, even with all those card-carrying Roses members. There was a close call at Moroes, which did require two attempts, but it wasn't actually a wipe. Definitely some fine footwork present there.
