The Past
The Honourbound Alliance has been blessed wth a commercially managed Ventrilo server for the last year after it became apparent that Blizzard's long-awaited in-game voice communication system was poo.
Basil and I researched and select a Ventrilo host last October and paid for the first 6 months. We renewed it for another 6 months and, with the help of some donations from Kariandra (The One) and Astarte (Roses of Dawn), upgraded it from 25 slots to 50 slots so we'd have space for 25-people raids at the same time as Karazhan runs or small groups.
The Present
Our 50-slot Ventrilo subscription will shortly expire. Paying up front for a year at a time reduces the cost to about $140 US/year, which seems fairly reasonable. We've been quite happy with the up-time and quality of the host in the last year. We need your help, though. Basil and I can't fund everything on our own (we pay for the WoWWebStats stuff too – $80 US a year – and host all the THB content).

The money never goes through Basil or me directly. It will mention "Michelle Hoyle" as related to the account if you pay by credit card on the confirmation page. That's OK. If it says someone else, you've got the wrong URL. (-: It doesn't say anything like that when paying by PayPal, but I've tested payment by both methods from the URL and they're working correctly.
So please, if you can afford to make a $5.00 US donation, that would be great. That's less than £3.00 or 4.00€ for another year of great Ventrilo hosting for The Honourbound Alliance.
As you donate, if you drop me (Elsheindra) an in-game mail to let me know, I'll post a list of donors and update how much we've received. You can, of course, choose to remain anonymous. Just let me know.

What is the WoW Web Stats thing?
Also if I donate do I use the same donation method as for the Ventrilo server or should I do it a different way?

WoW web stats lets us keep track of raid performance across multiple raids, to check it out visit www.honourbound.org/stats
All it needs is for somebody (ideally the raid leader while Elsh is away from WoW) to remember to log the combat log for the whole raid and to post it afterwards.
It is separate from the Ventrilo server and we don't have an easy way for people to contribute which is why we focussed on the vent server first. We cannot access the money donated to Vent so we'll have to think of something else - probably travellers cheques / postal orders etc.
That would be handy Basil.
