Add WoWHead Item Info To Your Posts
Want to brag to the world about how you've just picked up an Emerald Ripper in Karazhan from Moroes or show off your Festive Pink Dress? Now you can with a little work and some help from WoWHead.com.

• Using the Link Insert Tool:
• Visit WoWHead.com and type your item name into the search box there.
  • When you find the right page for your item, the page will have an address that looks something like http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28524. You want to copy the entire address.
• Type the item name in your message and select the name so it's highlighted.
• In your message, click on the globe icon (between your message box and the "Rich Text"/"Wiki Markup"/"Preview" tabs).
• Choose the External Link tab.
• Paste in the address from your clipboard and click the "Insert" button.

Using Wiki Markup

• Visit WoWHead.com and type your item name into the search box there.
  • When you find the right page for your item, the page will have an address that looks something like http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28524. You want to copy the number after the "item=" part to your clipboard.
• The macro is [Item Name Here|itemNumber@whitem]. So if you want the Festive Pink Dress, the markup macro would be [Festive Pink Dress|21538@whitem]

Regardless of which method you use, when you "Post" or "Preview", hovering over the item should give you the item in a pop-up, like so:
