Honourbound Onwards Onyxia - Sundays 2007
Last changed: Nov 23, 2007 11:52 by Elsheindra
Labels: raid, onyxia, thboldraid, 40person, xguild

Summary

Instance: Onyxia's Den (Dustwallow Marsh)
Meeting Place: Onyxia Instance
Meeting Date: Sunday
Meeting Time: 15:00 CET (Game Time)
Adventure Duration: ~1.5 hours
People Places: 40-person raid
Current Raid Progress: Complete

This instance is not currently being visited.

General

Onyxia is a big dragon lady with incredibly bad (and toxic!) breath. She lives in a den (Wyrmbog) in Dustwallow Marsh and is the only boss in the entire instance, so this tends to be a somewhat fast run to get purple gear and better fire gear. Onyxia is home of Tier 2 gear. Get yours while the getting is good!

This is a recurring Honourbound Alliance cross-guild venture into Onyxia's Den, led by Illidans Redemption. Onyxia only has one boss, so it's a short run. Although the title says it's on Wednesdays, it's migrated now to Sundays, usually in the afternoon but sometimes in the evening. It runs intermittently.

If you're interested in going and you're at least Level 60, sign up using GEM. There are spaces for at least 40 people. If you can't use GEM for some reason (why not?), you'll need to notify Pyroblades/Tasanala in-game so he can add you manually.

Pre-Requisites

  1. You need to the Drakefire Amulet from the Onyxia Chain
  2. You need to have been added to the HB Raid Role and Loot Rule Agreement Lists by your THB representative in order to sign up as a primary participant.

Available Quests

  • N/A

Spaces Available

Meet at the entrance to Onyxia's Den at 15:00 Game Time (See transportation information).

Sign up using GEM. There are spaces for 40 people.

No GEM? Message Pyroblades/Tasanala in-game to be manually added.

Honourbound Melting in Molten Core - Sundays and Tuesdays 2007
Last changed: Nov 23, 2007 11:54 by Elsheindra
Labels: mc, molten, thboldraid, core, xguild, moltencore, 40person

Summary

Instance: Molten Core (Blackrock Mountain)
Meeting Place: Molten Core
Meeting Date: Sunday
Meeting Time: 15:00 CET (Game Time)
Adventure Duration: ~6.0 hours
People Places: 40-person raid
Current Raid Progress: Complete

This instance is not currently being visited.

General

This is the original end-game instance, for classes of all ages (OK, for classes of Level 60+). This is a recurring Honourbound Alliance cross-guild venture led by the Illidans Redemption on Sundays. This is where you get your Tier 1 armour pieces, especially if you're a paladin. Step right up and melt in Molten Core!

Things you're likely to see/hear while in Molten Core:

  • Don't blow us up! (because you're the bomb)
  • Loot the dogs!
  • Phoomp!

If you're interested in going and you're Level 60+, sign up using GEM. There are spaces for 40 people. If you can't use GEM for some reason (why not?), you'll need to notify Dezdemona in-game so you can be added manually. You can also leave a note here but that's not as reliable.

Although the title says Sundays and Tuesdays, it only runs on Sundays now and intermittently, not every week. Check the GEM for the definitive schedule.

Armour Requirements

It's recommended that you have appropriate armour, especially fire-resistance armour. Stribet, who did the runs previously, recommends at least +50 fire resist without the benefit of buffs. In terms of armour, your armour should mostly be blues. Good fire resist gear to have incudes the Drakefire Amulet (Onyxia chain) and the Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas, a Dire Maul class trinket.

Looting Rules

The Honourbound Alliance Molten Core runs are run using the current agreed upon THB raid rules from March 2007. If you're signed up, it's assumed you've read and agreed to those rules (or you may be shunted to the "substitutes" list).

Available Quests

  • Not available yet

Spaces Available

Meet at the entrance to Molten Core. That's down the chain at Blackrock Mountain. Meeting time is 15:00 Game Time (See transportation). It's recommended to arrive online at least 15 minutes prior to the start time.

Sign up using GEM. There are spaces for 40 people.

No GEM? Leave a message here and Elsheindra will try to get Illidans Redemption to add you but it will likely be faster to in-game mail the raid event creator.

Honourbound Zip into Zul'Gurub - Thursdays 2007
Last changed: Nov 23, 2007 11:54 by Elsheindra
Labels: raid, zg, zul'gurub, thboldraid, 20person, xguild, thboldinfo

Summary

Instance: Zul'Gurub (Stranglethorn Vale)
Meeting Place: Zul'Gurub Instance
Meeting Date: Thursday Currently, there are no regularly scheduled runs to ZG.
Meeting Time: 20:30 CET (Game Time)
Adventure Duration: ~3.5 hours
People Places: 20-person raid but we sometimes take 2 groups
Current Raid Progress: Incomplete

General

Zul'Gurub is the first of the raid training grounds in preparation for Molten Core and other end-game instances. Some people claim, in fact, it's harder than Molten Core, but you can't have everything and it does have some very cool armour and weapon drops for members of many classes.

This is a recurring Honourbound Alliance cross-guild venture into Zul'Gurub, led by The One/Roses of Dawn on Thursday evening every week. In each trip, at least three bosses are tackled and it can be as many as five.

If you're interested in going and you're Level 58-60, sign up using GEM. There are spaces for at least 20 people. If you can't use GEM for some reason (why not?), you'll need to notify Elsheindra in-game so she can add you manually. You can also leave a note here.

Some weeks have two simultaneous runs on the Thursday. For those runs, a single sign-up sheet is posted for 40 people and we split the people up at the start of the raid into two separate raids.

Available Quests

  • L58 Confront Yeh'kinya. Pick this up from Prospector Ironfoot at Steamwheedle Port (Tanaris). If you can get this and you're a caster, the reward is a very nice blue cloak (+int/+stam) with mana regeneration. Turn it in to Yeh'kinya, also at Steamwheedle Port. This is step 7 of quest chain list spanning multiple dungeons.
  • L60 The Heart of Hakkar is a quest picked up from a purple drop inside the dungeon. Turn it in to Molthor on Yojamba Isle. Only one person per run can get this.
  • L60 A Collection of Heads. This is a collection quest that can span multiple dungeon runs. Pick it up from Exzhal on Yojamba Isle. I believe, although there's an item for this quest, it can be shared. The reward is a blue belt with multiple attribute enhancements. Something for everyone.
  • L60 The Perfect Poison. This quest is picked up from Dirk at the Inn at the Cenarion Hold (Silithus). The quest is to collect some poison sacs from Venoxis in Zul'Gurub and Kurinaxx in Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj. As a reward, there are all kinds of blue axes, knives, maces, and swords with some tasty bonuses.
  • A number of blue/purple class-specific armour reward quests for bracers, chest armour, shoulder armour, and belts. All of these involve limited purple drops from within the dungeon. These are called "Paragons of Power" quests.
  • Yojamba Isle is in Strangethorn Vale, up in the northwestern corner.

Spaces Available

Meet at the entrance to Zul'Gurub at 20:30 Game Time (See transportation information).

Sign up using GEM. There's only one run of 20 this week plus a Saturday run to kill Hakkar. Saturday's sign-up sheet will be posted on Thursday's run.

No GEM? Leave a message here and Elsheindra will try to add you.
