Gnomeregan is a feast for mechanical eyes. With gnomes and walking bombs everywhere, it's a blast! It's also home to a large selection of quests, guaranteed to keep you on your toes. You'll find it in the northwest corner of Dun Morogh.

The Quests (By Level)

• L10 Operation Recombobulation. Pick this up from Razzle Sprysprocket near Kharanos (Dun Morogh). This is a collection quest and rumour has it that you can just whack diseased lepers outside the instance to collect the cogs.

• L26 Save Techbot's Brain is picked up from Tinkmaster Overspark in Tinkertown (Ironforge). It's part of a series, so first do L26 Tinkmaster Overspark from Brother Samo in the Cathedral Square (Stormwind City). This may not be necessary, but XP is always nice. Techbot is not actually in the instance. He's in the room with the machine to make yellow punchcards near the train station.

• L30 Gyrodrillmatic Excavationators. This quest gives you a choice of a green axe or green cloth gloves. It's given by Shoni the Silent, a wandering NPC in Stormwind. She's usually near the fountain in the Dwarven District. This is a collection quest.

• L30 Essential Artificials. Another collection quest. This one is picked up from Klockmort Spannerspan in Tinkertown (Ironforge). It's part of a chain, so first do L30 Klockmort's Essentials, picked up from an NPC in the Cathedral of Light (Stormwind City). If you've already picked up Essential Artificials, Klockmort's Essentials won't be available. The artificials are held in containers called artificial extrapolators.

• L30 The Sparklematic 5200. As you wander through Gnomeregan, you'll pick up a number of grime-encrusted objects. These can be cleaned in the Sparklematic 5200, a machine found in the "Clean Room" of Gnomeregan. The first time you use it, you get the quest and the XP. After that, you can clean as many objects as you like.

• L34 Grime-Encrusted Ring. This is the start of a chain of quests involving the Sparklematic 5200. This quest is initiated by an object (the grime-encrusted ring), picked up off the body of a Dark Iron Agent in Gnomeregan. Once you have it, take it to the Clean Room and try the various cleaning machines until you find one which can clean it. You should then be given the L34 Return of the Ring quest which leads to the L35 Gnome Improvement quest.

• L34 Return of the Ring is part of a chain, started by the L34 Grime-Encrusted Ring (described above). When you turn in the grime-encrusted ring to the Sparklematic 5200, you'll be given this quest. Return the ring to Talvash del Kissel in the Mystic Ward (Ironforge) and then on to do the L35 Gnome Improvement. That quest is no longer in Gnomeregan.

• L35 The Grand Betrayal. The King of the Gnomes (High Tinker Mekkatorque) in Ironforge gives out this quest to kill Mekgineer Thermaplugg. Apparently, Mekgineer Thermaplugg is behind a locked door somewhere in the instance. The key is obtained via a drop, possibly off a mid-level boss. If you win, you have a choice of blue leather pants, blue mail pants, or blue cloth chest armour.

• L35 Rig Wars. Related to L35 The Grand Betrayal, this quest asks you to get some blueprints from Megineer Thermaplugg's safe. To get this quest, you'll need to go through some convolutions. It's picked up from a goblin named Nogg in the Valley of Honor (Ogrimmar). The rewards are the same as for L35 The Grand Betrayal.

From Ironforge: Head southwest of Ironforge, down the road. At the crossroads, head northwest along the road until you reach the instance.

Hints and Tips

• There are walking bombs all over Gnomeregan. Kill them off quickly! They bring reinforcements that usually lead to a total party wipe-out.
• A map of Gnomeregan, compiled by someone else.
