Lower Blackrock Spire (LBRS) is one of three instance areas in Blackrock Mountain: Lower Blackrock Spire (LBRS), [Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS)], and Blackrock Depths (BRD). To get into this instance, go to Blackrock Mountain and, instead of going down a chain towards the middle, head up the chain, jump down to the ledge, follow the ledge to the right and jump from the ledge to the balcony. Straight ahead (not to the right) is the portal entrance. [Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS)] is accessed in the same way but, once inside, requires a key to enter it. The key is obtained by completing the UBRS key quest chain inside of LBRS.

- L58 The Final Tablets is step 6 of an eight-step chain spanning multiple dungeons, following on from L58 The Lost Tablets of Mosh'aru in the Eastern Plaguelands. Prospector Ironfoot in Steamwheedle Port (Tanaris) asks you to locate two tablets in LBRS: one is with the Shadow Hunter Troll boss (back of the chamber) and the other is with Warmaster Voone. Return the tablets to Prospector Ironfoot to pick up L58 Confront Yeh'kinya.
- L59 Bijou's Belongings is step 1 of a three-step chain, obtained from Bijou inside LBRS. Bijou can be seen if you go to the second wooden bridge in LBRS, stand in the middle and look down. Drop down carefully. You may need to fight your way back up. He asks you to find some belongings. The belongings are a single crate usually just before the Mother's Milk Spider, in an area with tents and crates. Return the crate to Bijour to get L59 Message to Maxwell.
- L59 En-Ay-Es-Tee-Why is picked up from Kibler, the exotic pet guy, on the Burning Steppes. He sends you off to collect 15 spire spider eggs and, as a reward, gives you your very own Smolderweb Hatchling pet.
- L59 Kibler's Exotic Pets is picked up from Kibler, the exotic pet guy, on the Burning Steppes. He wants a caged Worg pup. You'll find them near Halcyon in LBRS. This can be done in a raid. When you return the quest to Kibler, he gives you a domesticated Worg Pup pet of your own.
- L59 Put her Down is picked up from Helendis Riverhorn at Morgan's Vigil (Burning Steppes Griffin Point). She wants you to destroy the Worg mother boss Halycon.
- L60 Seal of Ascension (p1) picked up from Vaelan inside LBRS, This is part 1 of a two-part chain to forge a key to enter UBRS. Vaelan is not far from the entrance. If you have stealth mode, you can reach him in about 5 minutes. Go into the dungeon, up the right-hand stairs, turn right, and cross to the ledge. Look down for patrols. If it's clear, jump down, head down the ramp, and turn left through the doorway. Head towards a wooden bridge. Just before it is a stretch of rubble on your left. Go all the way to the left-most side of the rubble and head turn left to head up the ramp. You should see Vaelan. He'll send you off to collect four pieces: Gemstone of Spirestone (from Highlord Omokk),
Gemstone of Bloodaxe (from Overlord Wyrmthalak), Gemstone of Smolderthorn (from Master Voone) and Unadorned Seal of Ascension (random drop). The gems are dropped from the three major LBRS bosses. It's probably a good idea to do this in conjunction with L60 Maxwell's Mission as that has you killing those bosses too. Once you have all the pieces, return to Vaelan. He'll give you L60 Seal of Ascension (p2).
- L60 Seal of Ascension (p2) is the second part of a two-step chain, picked up from Vaelan inside LBRS, for the UBRS Key, following on from L60 Seal of Ascension (p1). This takes place outside the dungeon. You need to head to Wyrmbog in Dustwallow Marsh (Theramore) and into a cave where the drake Emberstrife lives. Go into the shallow pond and call the dragon over by attacking him. When he gets to about 10% health, stop attacking him! He'll make some comment about his will faltering. At that point, right-click on the Unforged Seal of Ascension that you have to place it in the water. Then use the Orb of Draconic Energy Vaelan gave you to control the dragon. He's like a pet. Hunters, dismiss your regular pets! You'll get a pet bar. Aim the dragon at your seal and use the leftmost button (of the group of four) on your pet bar to initiate Flames of the Black Dragonflight on the seal to forge it. Release the dragon (it will release on its own eventually) and kill it. You should have the seal. Return it to Vaelan in LBRS who will give you a nice ring which is also the UBRS key.
- L60 Maxwell's Mission is step 3 of a three-step chain, obtained from Marshal Maxwell at Morgan's Vigil (Burning Steppes griffin point), following on from L59 Message to Maxwell. Maxwell wants you to kill each of the three major LBRS bosses. After returning to Maxwell, he'll reward you with your choice of blue bracers, belts, shoulder pads, or gloves, suitable for different classes and races. You need to kill these same bosses for the UBRS key chain, so it's probably a good idea to do them together.

The fastest way is to fly to Thorium Point (Searing Gorge), then ride south, south, south. Go to Blackrock Mountain and, instead of going down a chain towards the middle, head up the chain, jump down to the ledge, follow the ledge to the right, and jump from the ledge to the balcony. Straight ahead (not to the right) is the portal entrance.
Hints and Tips

- Watch out for the dogs. If you're low-level and a stealthed druid, they can detect you from further away than you might expect.
